Holiday Stockings for Homeless Children is an annual U.S. Coast Guard family and community friends effort to provide and deliver handmade Holiday Stockings filled with new gifts and useful essentials and cheer to homeless children ages birth to 17 years living in and out of shelters in the Puget Sound Area.
3700 Stockings Filled for 2012 - Thank you VOLUNTEERS!
Laughter filled the air as hundreds of volunteers gathered at the Coast Guard Station on December 8th to fill 3700 stockings for homeless children. It was a sight to see as the tables filled with items disappeared into handmade stockings with basic necessities like socks, gloves, hats, hand and feet warmers for street kids combined with age appropriate items of coloring books, balls, cars, jump ropes, bath toys, chalk, crayons, bibs, sippy cups, and beanie babies to name a few of the items.
A hugh round of applause to all of the volunteers and sponsors who have helped throughout the year - without you we couldn't have provide a bit of the holiday spirit to the children. THANK YOU!

God Bless you people for what you do. I did help pack stocking a couple of years, about 10 years ago, but can't do it anymore, too much trouble with my legs. Sure wish I could. I hope this help you get some gifts.
