Holiday Stockings for Homeless Children is an annual U.S. Coast Guard family and community friends effort to provide and deliver handmade Holiday Stockings filled with new gifts and useful essentials and cheer to homeless children ages birth to 17 years living in and out of shelters in the Puget Sound Area.

Thank you VOLUNTEERS!
We can't do it without you.  Your donations, sewing of stockings, hats, and scarves, setting up and stuffing the stockings on Saturday helped provide 3217 stockings to 78 shelters.

Help us get ready for next year by:
- Join us next year on December 7-8, 2012
- Sponsoring a child for $20 or consider sponsoring multiple children by making a monetary donation
- Purchase needed items in bulk
- Donate yarn, holiday fabric or felt

A Rave from a volunteer found in the Seattle Times, Dec 25, 2011 issue, section H: "Huge rave to the Coast Guard Family and Friends Holiday Stockings for Homeless Children for providing stockings filled with age appropriate toys, educational items and warm socks, and gloves to 3500 children living in and out of 90 shelters in the Puget Sound region. 700 of which are youths living on the streets who receive items identified as needed or wanted by the kids. A big rave also to the 600 volunteers who help make this happen."
